What it handles

Households, month by month. Rent and recurring bills carry over each month, and last month is archived when the new one starts.
Trips, parties and one-offs. Add costs as they happen from anyone's phone, then close out the tab when everyone is home.
Any way of splitting. Evenly, by income, by fixed percentages, by party size, or among just some of you. Any one expense can have its own split.
Everyone signs in as themselves. Google or an emailed link, on any phone or computer. No shared password and nothing to install.
Private to the group. Only the people in a group can see its expenses and balances.
A spreadsheet when you want one. Download any group to Excel for your own records.

Split bills by income: work out each person's share of rent and bills from what they earn.
